Looks great, not working with my XBox Controller.

Oof, yeah, I've confirmed that the only controller it seems to work with is the old Logitech controller I used for testing. Planning to fix this!

Great game! As short as the demo was, I was engaged very quickly. Very smooth movement, and the visuals create an amazing atmosphere. The animation on the character is very well done too, I especially loved the way they flap their wings each double jump.

Gliding definitely felt the most fun. The double jump was useful, but while it feels great to do out of a glide, on its own it lacks enough force, I feel. It can also be used to get through specific areas very easily, albeit not as quickly. I'd recommend making the double jumps have more force, possibly with a limit to how many you can do, that resets each time you glide or slam into a wall.

I hope to see more from this project, it has great potential! :)

Thanks for playing, and for the feedback! I agree on the flapping feeling weak; that was intentional, but I think I overdid it. Will work on making that feel better!

This game has the potential to be something great.

Gliding feels very nice in this game. Flapping is too weak for regular traversal, feels fine while gliding (maybe make the first flap stronger than the rest?). Excited to do more runs of this as it gets updated, best time after a few runs is 1:58.

1:49 after a few more runs.

Legend.

Thanks for the feedback! As noted, I'll be tweaking the flapping in future updates. And congrats on your times -- you beat my personal best with your 1:49 run, but both runs are very good!

i should totally make a speedrun.com page for this game

Fun game, enjoyed it very much. Gliding around feels great, and the platforming is solid for the most part. One criticism I have is that flapping while not gliding feels too weak and makes vertical movement frustrating at times. Also, the clipping with crumble blocks is weird at times (clipped through them once while gliding, got stuck on a corner while walking, and bonking them with your head has a weird hitbox sometimes) so you might want to look into that. Also, you can clearly see the inspiration from Celeste (which is a compliment), but some elements look a bit TOO similar, so you might want to change that a bit. The fastest I was able to get after about an hour of attempts was a 1:51 (below). One interesting thing I noticed is that the character looks a bit like a white person in a red cloak while standing still, which is a really cool detail if its intentional. Overall, loved the game and I can't wait for the full release!

Woah nice time!

Thanks!

Thanks for the feedback! I am planning to tweak the flap; I wanted vertical movement to take effort, but I definitely over-tuned it. I also know what the issue is with the crumbling blocks and I'm working on fixing it!

Also, congrats on your times -- both of your runs posted here beat my personal best!

That was really nice! Do you have a discord channel or something so we can follow the progress? Best time so far after a couple of tries was 3:12!

Even after only playing two times, it already feels really smooth for speedrunning! Can't wait to see where this goes! also thanks for the timer! The only thing I feel could use improvement is the dash trail, but that's a nitpick.

And mind you, I shall post if I get a sub 2 minutes.

Also please make a discord and goodbye!

Thank you for the feedback! I don't have a Discord channel yet, but I've had a few requests for that; I'll look into it! For now, the best place to go for updates is my Twitter (https://twitter.com/InternalUtopia).

That was pretty fun but my gamepad didn't work for some reason + I think that the controls were unintuitive on keyboard. Also maybe you should make it so that spamming the jump button makes you ascend.

Love the artstyle and keep up the good work!

Thank you for the feedback! Yep, the controller support needs fixing; I'm also planning to add re-bindable controls.

Hey, that's pretty good! Thanks for giving it a go!

Love it! A very delightful experience, the music is beautiful and the feeling of learning to fly is spot on. Well done, will buy full version.

Thank you, that's really encouraging to hear!
